Good to know about the arc'd area needing grinding. I suspect the molten slag that I couldn't get off might pose a problem in a weld area that was crucial for strength/support. In this case w/the plow frame, I added gussets around the joint to prevent additional stress cracks from occuring & I welded up the area.

Approx how many amps were you running with the tied welders? The Esseti is great in that it can run 380 amps @ 100% duty cycle & 500amp at 60% duty cycle...I think I could run 3/8 without needing my Lincoln RS325am power unit tied in...BUT if I did tie it in, I'd have over 800amp at my disposal....Oh, this could be fun!
