Default Refflinghaus South German 460lbs

So 5 or 6 years ago I contacted the seller of Refflinghaus anvils in the USA and he said he doesn't have any of the model #58 in stock and that he does not get them often when they arrive from Germany.

I called him intially every 6 months or so with no luck. Then I started to send him an email every few months. then about 1 or so a month.

then I get an email saying he called Germany and they have 1 in stock.

Before I knew it, it was on the ship over here.

it arrived last week or so.

The anvil on top is the 275lbs #12 Peddinghaus.

I am glad you got hooked up with one! I hope it did not cost you an arm or a leg!

Laugh out loud.

I kinda thought so in a way.

I also started to build a new shop/teaching facility. So, was like oh, crap. How am I gonna pay for it now?

And I got lucky enough 1 person was in the market for 1 leg, 1 arm and 1 thumb.

Your persistence paid off! That is one sexy looking anvil! A BBA for sure!

The last pic broke my computer monitor stand!

How heavy is she?

Does this mean you own the only one in the United States or one of the very few?

I have been following your thread on the shop/teaching facility lately. I sincerly hope that it works out for you! Even though it costs you an arm, leg and thumb!

Well, you should have kept your thumb out from between the two anvils when you took that beauty pic.
