Default Shop Pics

Figured it’s been a while since we had a shop pic thread.

Currently squeezed into a double car garage, actual floor is about 20’ x 21’. And we still park her Ford Escape in here.

First pic is the welding bench under a pile of crap, with the Lincoln 185 and the Lincoln 255 welders under it. Behind that is the Bridgeport mill, to it’s right is a cabinet with all the lathe chucks, and mill accessories in, or on it.

Second pic is the old South Bend lathe, with the electrical panels behind it. The man door is still usable, just have a bunch of large cardboard pieces in it. Generally it doesn’t get used in winter, just summer anyway.

To the right is my Harig surface grinder, and a work bench, with extra vertical storage added.

Last pic shows the little Rhodes shaper, drill press, and arbor press. Three more Kennedy toolboxes that are all full, then two red tool chests where the wrenches, sockets, hammers etc live. Right of that are two utility cabinets that house power tools, and shop supplies, etc.

It’s still being organized, revamped, labeled etc. Seems with this major move and such I no longer seem to be able to remember where stuff is down to the exact drawer like I did for years. Plus occasionally there are others that are here, and it does make it easier for them.

Seems like you are going to find things you never knew you had when it gets all set up.
It is a nice shop setup.

We were planning to get over there for a shop tour, but sure enough, The Road Virus Heads North. Now it is unlikely that we will get there for a while.
I am glad to see you are still working, many aren't.

I’m scheduled to be back to work Wednesday, I suspect that I’ll be home though. The ‘northern’ zone has gone from zero cases to 18 basically over the weekend, and with the price of oil having tanked, I think for now we will be out of work.
