It goes to show a lot about the tenacity and character of Rod’s for sure. Even though he’s no longer with us, lot’s of folks here think and talk about him often.

I didn’t realize but I’ve been a member on here since 2005, and this is really the only forum I’ve used now for years.

I found this forum from a thread I follow on BushcraftUSA....I am similar in that i stick to pretty much one forum- but after I read that story I had to join this one just to say how great that thread was. Sorry to hear he has passed-

Looks like Pop shared it over there back in February. He's a long-time member here too.

Cutter had a pretty good run and was incredibly helpful to all. This vise took on a life of it's own. Heck, most all of his projects did. He has a couple other very detailed threads on here for neat stuff. Search out the Forksnatch if you ever need to get the most from your garden tractor .

Our forum doesn't get a whole lot of new members. The whole genre seems to have fallen out of fashion years ago but we like to keep this place going. If you dig around you'll notice that we keep all our images and files stored locally so that these old threads never become useless. Cutter's vise predates our forum, yet the information is still there for everyone to see--along with ALL the other members' projects.

Feel free to stick around and join in if the mood hits ya. We're always happy to have the company and we'll talk about darn near anything.
