Got a 300 watt led parking lot light for a gable mounted work light on the front of my shop. Lifted it up with my forklift to see how much it covers. I'm very impressed.

Had a friend that turned all dusk dawn lights off. He rana shop/junkyards . He claimed they just made it easier for people to steal .

we don't have street lights on my street,for the same reason.
Thieves are scared of the dark.
Plus we have less traffic after dark,those dark streets are so scary!

That light will be on a switch and only used when needed. I like being in the dark and not drawing attention to what's down here.

Got all the trees cleared off for the septic leach field. Got to clean up the stumps and tree tops. Cut the trunks into 10' sections.

A dozer would do a quick job of that.

Loaders pretty quick too. Clamshell bucket sure is handy for moving the logs and stumps.

Back working on wiring. Finally got the ground bars I needed.

Living space panel is done other then feeder wires coming in and one 20 amp GFCI circuit for the back porch and whatever size breaker I'll need for my mini split.

Personally up here we tried to avoid doing logs, wood etc unless there was snow on the ground, it helps to keep the dirt out of the bark.

Guess in Georgia that’s not really an option.

Also, habit was to cut logs 6” longer than desired board length, that allows for trimming and any checking/splitting that occurs as the log and board dry out.

The common sizes we cut were usually 8’6”, and 12’6”. Occasionally we’d cut 16’6” for 16’ lumber, but only if and when we knew we had a use for it. That long gets unwieldy to handle.
