Default 90° 3/8" drive extension..

My engineer friend whom got me to work on SAAB's showed me one of these 30+ years ago and I thought it was a 1 off kind of deal..

Was at advanced auto parts and they had 1 on the board.. was 12.00 so I had to by it as a joke of sorts.. Kinda a cool bit of fab and engineering..

"Had to buy it".... same here at a garage sale, I found a couple of
"stapelless paper staplers"

They punch out a little tongue and slot, flip the tongue up thru
the slot on the way back up.

Back in the 60's, Popular Mechanics had plans for an, "Elbow engine," that worked the same way, I think. Cool, to know that someone found a practical use for the mechanism.

+1 on that

ya know they have a gear drive ratchet you can spin the handle on like a screwdriver once you brake the bolt loose and just spin it out the rest of the way with the handle......
but...I have not found a use or need for one or the 90 degree ratchet seems it always been with me if there is a will there is a way.....

I have a torch a grinder and a welder and could always modify or make a tool I needed for such things but now I have a mill an lathe to add to the confusion of....
" The box of Hum mm... I wonder what that was and what I made it for "
