Default Craftsman Vendor List

Over at HSM there was a very interesting posting -"Who owns what power tool brand".

One of the links was to Craftsman and Sears Source Codes. The vendor name is built into the part number.

As an example RedCaddy is rebuilding a mower. If you look in the part number 917-XXXXX, Roper was the manufacturer of all 917 parts. Cutter correctly identified it by sight - he's as good as a parts book .

I'm sure this list will help chasing parts for some of the older equipment.

This time, I managed to stick it in 3 places in my bookmarks and in 2 places in the Projects Index.

These lists should be in the stickey.
You do the best you can with what you've got.
