The next step was the pivot bar and the stem for the buckle.

I made the bar out of 1/4" round bar, and filed a groove in the center for the stem to sit it so it can't slide around.

The stem is made from a piece of 5/32" welding rod.

One machine had .045 dual shield in it, the other had .035 fluxcore from working on some grain bins in the wind. I tried the fluxcore, still don't like it. Someday I will get the stuff to tig weld with my mp210, I should have thrown some solid wire in.
