Below is an impeller pump and belt tensioner assembly for the headstock. Fifteen years ago the price for the tensioner was $300! That is for the steel arm and pulley alone! I thought I would rather make one but Iā€™m glad now that I never did.

At that time I was interested in buying a few parts for the lathe as I was cleaning it up. The total cost was nearly $6000. That was $2000 more than I paid for the whole machine!!!

I recall I bought a set of way wipers and I have been running it as is ever since.
