Look at the 2d picture the label states "17 inch Drill Press Router Shaper" and the numbers on the lower half of the speed dial appear to have 5 digits.

Definitely designed for wood working. Even if you don't want to keep it, I'm sure there are wood workers who would love to have a machine like that in their shop.

$80 for a floor standing drill press is pretty cheap in my part of the country, especially for a variable speed model. I think you got a great deal. I would think you could sell it for more than you paid by describing it as multi-use wood working machine.
