I've never tried it but I've never felt the need to either. If you use really sharp tooling and take fairly heavy cuts UHMW doesn't machine that bad; you just have to deal with the really stringy swarf that the cut produces. I use the ultra-sharp uncoated inserts designed for aluminum--they cut really well and leave a good surface finish, especially if you take a heavy DOC and spin the RPM up good...

Measure twice and cut once...or...wait, was that the other way around?
