Every kid should have a backup career and I would suggest an industry standard welder, that is unless you can get trusted reviews on the specific item.
just the Miller name alone on a resume can make the difference.

I don't weld enough to give any reviews
the biggest issue I had with non professional welders is not all will burn all rods mainly 6010 rods high OCV rods.

I picked up a HF 120volt 80 amp inverter that I like over my older transformer 120Vwelder but would only recommend burning 6013 rods.

Also picked up a discontinued HF 220volt 145/165 has issues burning 6011 rods below 120 amps but above 120 you can bury the rod,
I have not tried the TIG, it did come with a torch.
