I'd bet Gerry can sharpen some drills for you, if you have a decent bench grinder. Annular cutter is much quicker.

For a lift gate, I would run a separate hot wire...

For a lift gate, I would run a separate hot wire to an unused spot of the fuse box. Other than that, I would just tie in to rear existing wiring for the lights.

Hope you roof turns out square. I always square the roof and sheet it and put on the roofing material before putting on siding. Find it easier to square the walls after the roof.
