From 3/8 to 3/4 wide.
The blade was way too thick for a machine...

I do not have a dead blow hammer so I used a rubber mallet.
It is hard to get a good swing at the trans.
I thought about using a stick as a extension and hitting the end of the stick....

I have even used it for joining copper pipe when the studs were too close for comfort to use a torch.

It allows a little time for adjustment.
That can be nice.
