Pull the battery cables and keep the ground close to the weld.

The can tune will be ok but the best and most effective gains will come from the dyno tuning. Unless they were rolling pennies to pay for all this I’d dyno tune it.

As long as the lifter is not bottoming out when you install the push rod it should operate properly once it gets oil pressure. I cannot speak to the measurements. ...
