I've used one for years, and it's simple to just tease the throttle.

I see the HF version is the better style with the air motor at 90 degrees
to the belt...

Version 2.0, modify a Quicke saw, to put a 2" x 48" belt on it.

Just think, some of those come with a teeny set of wheels on back...

No tailstock, there probably was the rear turret there.

Look at feed rod.

No threading gears/dial ?

Must be all those leetle holes....and when burning off the insulation from house wiring, you get nice blues, green and red flames.
