I don't know if I'd be moving such a large piece of equipment outside, especially if it is in good condition (ie: no rust). That said, I agree on juicing/lubing it up beforehand, then shrink-wrapping...

I've always used hollow punches for thinner material but that looks like the bomb for thicker, tougher gaskets. So it just "melts" its way through? :confused:

Added a couple manuals below. The HF manual is fairly useless but the TA manual is much more useful, even for the HF.

Yes, it counts! :) One of my rules with welders is they must create their own stand. I did cheat a while back with a HF $30 special for the MM140 and Hobart 250ci plasma.

Yup, dumb place for a seam... :rolleyes: Weld in place, make some smoke, then squirt water up underneath to put the fire out. THAT water will dry eventually so I wouldn't worry too much about it.
