It's a learning experience to run a lower output genset when the power is out.

I can keep the house comfy & functional during power outage with my 5500w genset by being selective with what runs...

The only difference appears to be the 'socket selection keeper' that slides to keep it from turning while speed...

I remember one like it in dad's shop. With the socket at the 90 deg. angle you could apply more torque to stubborn nuts....once they're loose, rotate to the inline position and 'speed' it off. :D

Thanks, Scott, that showed me what I needed to do (blooper and all). I made myself a tapered key and once I got the chuck off, I could tell that it was wore so bad inside the jaws was the reason...
