My wife still had her first KitchenAid mixer...

My wife still had her first KitchenAid mixer until I bought her a new one a few years ago. She bought new rubber feet for the old one and passed it on to our grand-daughter.

Jen, are you running a generator in there? With no electric service there yet, how do you plan get light, run the heater, etc. If you do have 'juice' there, why not plug in a heat light or block...

Yep, I think we're on the same track. Like you said, that would put the load downward.....and a large plate at the bottom could spread the load out onto the roof.

It's a learning experience to run a lower output genset when the power is out.

I can keep the house comfy & functional during power outage with my 5500w genset by being selective with what runs...
