The reducer is a 90 degree with a .5" input and a 7/8" out put shaft and a 65.5 to one ratio. Guessing about 30#

Years ago tire chains were common here and dad and I used them regularly and one could here cars and trucks coming down the road for a mile, I can't remember the last time I herd or saw them used....

One of my jobs as a kid was to clean the pan and use thread tied threw the holes to hold the gasket in place and is what I still do today, I don't think that I would use any sealant on the gasket...

Solder wire holder

Built one like in the first picture with what I think is a improvement, they sell for anywhere from 7 to 13 dollars but it was a fun little project that was done in my spare time.
