I clean/swap tips almost every time I grab the torch to just to size the tip accordingly.

I hand cut some 2” plate recently with satisfactory results....

So that you don’t have to sweat dropping a valve soo much you can put #1 at TDC. change springs on 1 & 6, rotate 90*, 8 & 5, rotate 90*, 7 & 4, rotate 90*, 3 & 2

Just make sure they do some cold-start tuning. And if dyno tuned make sure part throttle and low speed...

If I lived anywhere the roads were salted the dd would get anti seize on the lugs too.

I use a few of the clear bins from HF wrote the tap size and drill size on the lid in sharpie for quick reference.

I am not sure. My current lws and airgas are within 5 mins of me. There are a ton of places in Houston and more in the Houston-metro area though as well as a hydro testing facility about 35 mins...
