Not an un-common practice with bagged trucks, but the norm is to weld in a c-notch for them when you have to cut them to add the support back to the frame.

Looks good, I would put a hook in there to hang your helmet on and put some shelves in, my carts always seem to be a catch-all for hammers, clamps, pliers, and other crap.
