You didn't remove the rotor from the motor frame...

You didn't remove the rotor from the motor frame ?
So you toasted the bearing, and probably the stator windings.

Simply close your eyes for the brief time while striking the arc.

Much easier than the old flip down helmets, and the cheaper helmets...

A box tool in the lathe would take those pins right down in one pass, hold size, and leave a very good finish.

I'm thinking I've seen it for the leetle pieces holding a engine valve
and spring together.
The "split collet" looking...
