That's just the way i like to do it. I've had these welds pass x-ray but that's the only testing that's been done on them. I've welded lots of backhoe buckets like this and never had a failure.

There's lots of people around here that use them on trucks. I have a design than goes inside a receiver hitch and the spear fits in it.

We have two drill doctors at work and everyone still brings me their bits to be sharpened. I didn't have much luck with the drill doc. I can get them much sharper by hand.
