Remember...this is circa 1942 back in the day stick was king, and the bigger the stick the better was the rule of thumb. In this serries of video they are using 3/16" E6010 and pumping out 150-200...

USMCPOP Thanks, I never knew there was anything other than A2 a while back I found the Latrobe info, Now I know there is even A3 A4 grades. Its like cigars I guess!:devil:

Hi Randy...here's a couple of PDF's on A2/A6 TOOL STEEL that I has saved on my PC, should get you the info you need. I could not find A4 grade? Latrobe shows an A2, A6-A10 TS.

Nfty vintange GE stick welding for beginners video

Here's a neat GE welding video from the late 1940's. DC/AC stickwelding with celulose type[EXX10/11] electrodes. It has a very cool slo=mo photography of the arc.
