john deere hub

This is a hub off of a tractor. I was bolted together with nine 5/8" bolts which were striped out. The owner wanted them drilled and taped for 3/4" fine which I did but by going with the 3/4" bolts...

Try not to breath those fumes from that rod. The only thing I can think of as long as your heat and polarity are right it might be ark blow, try moving your ground.

Something that thick if mild steel I would use enough heat to warm it to the touch and no worry about post heat. Post a pic of the steel and welcome to the site!
