Die holder

Made a die holder for my 1 1/2" dies to thread under power using back gear in the lathe.

1 parts

2 5/8" die, stock was turned .010" under size

3,4 threaded

5 holder (when reversing loosen tail stock)

Most jobs a faster way to go over single pointing .

I have collected a couple over the years, have them in a bin with the round dies.

However, I have also collected "die heads" along with boxes of chasers.....

The regular die's do have the trouble of tearing a thread upon reversing.

But they are much cheaper, and if used only once in awhile, and with care,
should work well. I like the deep hollow part your design has.

One I made, from the photo number it was 2009 , for use at school .
