    I have the predecessor to your 45, the 600. For future info/help, from the horses mouth--Jim Colt at worked for Hypertherm for many years and recently retired. Many bit of inside info and help and advice from him.

    There are some hard to find markers, like a felt tip, that reflect UV light and allow you to see what lines you cut, but that comes with practice, too.

    I use an Optrel Satellite helmet that allows me to push a button for plasma cutting and back to welding. Anything can happen. I wear clear safety glasses and the helmet. Eyes are hard to replace. People will tell you real men don't need no stinking protection. But, talk to a few who had the impossible accident and would give anything for a second chance, and it will change your mind.
