Hey, Jenn, just thinking about older times here. You came by Richmond one time, visiting your Mom I think. We didn't connect at that time.

Anyway, if you get by this way again, please stop by my place. I have a lot of cool stuff and no one to give it to who will appreciate it.

Anyway, make note of my contact info just in case you need it:

I'm a new member on the board. I joined because I was looking all over the internet for an instruction manual for a tapping head I bought. GWIZ bailed me out and sent me the manual in PDF. When I first came on here, I read with great interest your posts regarding the Grove lift you bought. I admire you tenacity in getting it finally operational. I too have been searching for a cheap lift but never pulled the plug for fear repairs might end up being a nightmare. So glad to hear you finally got it sorted out. I am retired and need one badly for some tree work at my place. I am undecided right now between a man lift or a bucket truck. If you are not crazy about heights, it definitely takes awhile to get used to working in them. I worked at General Dynamics/Electric Boat in Groton CT and much of the work on the submarines is out of lifts. I hated it at first, but finally got used to it. Good luck with your machine. Stay safe !!

Jen, not knowing how busy you are or how your project scheduling is at the moment, I do have a request of a bit of heat and beat contract work needed for here at the farm.

I'd like to have you hammer out a typical bearded axe, if your scheduling will allow and of course if you are willing to make and sell it to me.

    Regards
    jef

I have a 30" Pexto stake plate given to me many years ago when I still had dreams of building a forge. Having not used it in all these years I thought you might be able to use it in your new teaching facility.
If you contact me at jkahn3@verizon.net or through my website jeffkahnsculpture.com
I will send you pictures so you can decide if you want it.
I would be happy to send it to you as it is just taking up shelf space.

Thats cool that you into this kind of stuff, We have a female weld instructor who is a CWI at one of our local colleges.
I love going to places like Green Field Villiage in Dearborn, MI, They have a blacksmith shop but unfortunately very seldom do they have someone in there working.

I need to drill a hole through a vise jaw. It is very hard and my carbide won't cut it. Do you have any ideas.
