So, for those of you who think you need all of the best gear..

Here is what I used in 1989,

I had a forge made from a split rim filled with concrete, the anvil was the trenton 155lbs mounted on a multi piece wood base, I brought my foot operated grinder, and a small table..

At that time frame I was one of 2 demonstrators on the row.. There was me and a stone mason.. The stone mason had been there for ever..

Can't believe I have had the Champion 400 blower that long.. I must have just gotten it..

The following year I made a larger forge.. The next year added a sun shade/ canopy.. the following year I added the first trailer..

It's funny looking back now as I really wasn't a blacksmith at this point.. I was still struggling with real metal forging.. I had been making knives and swords before this which was totally different.

A demo in a cemetery?

Seems like it would be a dead venue....:o
